Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
– Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, and generators
– Perform field maintenance and diagnostics
– Ensure safety standards are followed on-site
– Field-based position working in remote or outdoor environments, including gas plants, well sites, and industrial facilities
– Exposure to varying weather conditions (cold, heat, snow, rain) year-round
– Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
– Handle various related field duties as required
Qualifications
What’s required for the role?
– Red Seal Certification (Heavy Equipment Technician, Electrician, or Millwright)
– Proven field experience with gas compression equipment, especially G3600 A4
– Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
– Ability to work independently, often in remote locations
– Commissioning experience is an asset
– You will be fit-tested and able to wear a respirator (position requires the use of a respirator; proper facial fit (e.g., no beards at seal line) is necessary)
– Experience with non-CAT equipment (e.g., Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins) is considered an asset
– Commitment to safety and excellent communication skills
