Responsibilities
– Lead the accounting team and manage daily operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cash management. (3 accountants, potential 4 next year)
– Take full ownership of the month‑end close process—ensuring deadlines are met and all financials are accurate.
– Cultivate strong, respectful relationships with vendors and families by ensuring all financial interactions are handled promptly and professionally.
– Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff; continuously drive process improvements and efficiency.
– Partner with leadership to prepare reports, analyze procurement spend, and ensure readiness for audits.
Qualifications
– Strong background in finance and accounting.
– CPA designation is a strong asset.
– A minimum of 4 to 7 years of progressive experience, including experience managing a team.
– Demonstrated interest in process improvement and strong teamwork skills.
