Responsibilities
– Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the customs department
– Oversee and ensure compliant and timely customs clearance of all import/export shipments
– Liaise with CBSA, CARM and other government agencies on complex or escalated cases
– Stay up to date on regulatory changes and ensure team and processes remain compliant
– Train, mentor, and develop junior staff and customs specialists
– Monitor KPIs, audit entries, and drive continuous process improvements
– Support clients with customs consulting and classification guidance as needed
– Collaborate cross-functionally with administration and accounting departments
Qualifications
– 10 years minimum experience in customs brokerage is a must!
– Strong knowledge of CBSA regulations, HS classification, and OGD requirements
– Previous proven leadership skills
– Bilingualism is a must
– Diploma in Supply Chain or related customs program
– CIFFA, CTCS and/or CCS Certificate
