Responsibilities
Experience and Role Accountabilities
• Experience drafting for generation station Mechanical systems.
• All the required Experience and Role Accountabilities shall relate to Autodesk and other CADD applications drafting work experience.
• Support the creation and revision of engineering drawings associated with Mechanical engineering works for Station Mechanical System projects.
• Use a variety of computer-aided drafting, modeling and parametric design applications to depict work in two and three dimensions and manage drawings using a computerized drawing records management system.
• Use drawings for site preparations and layouts, facility construction, and electrical infrastructure design and installation including details of equipment, assemblies, and components.
• Create customized drawings for non-standard engineering and design projects.
• Perform work according to CADD standards.
• Perform some calculations.
This position is needed to help with an increasing Mechanical work load in capital projects, OMA work programs and Owners Engineer review work.
• Generation Mechanical systems include and are not limited to:
o hydraulic turbines and generators (Pelton, Francis, Kaplan)
o governor systems
o gates – intake, draft tube, maintenance
o penstock inlet valves and turbine inlet valves
Work Assignment Requirements
Project work with multiple stakeholders.
Expertise in turbines, generator and/or governor systems is being requested for this position.
Qualifications
Must haves:
– Project work experience with multiple stakeholders.
– Expertise in turbines, generator and/or governor systems is being requested for this position.
*Willing to accept E3 candidates without specific experience in hydropower turbines, generators and/or governor systems
– Travel will be required to site within BC as needed (approx. 2 – 3 times per year)
– Class 5 Driver’s license in good standing

– PMP certification
