Responsibilities
Pharmacy Assistant – Patient Service Coordination – Edmonton – Healthcare (Full-Time, Permanent)
Process prescription entries within Kroll with a focus on precision and speed.
Manage third-party billing and claims adjudication for both public and private insurers, including contacting providers to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in the medication dispensing workflow by selecting, labeling, and readying products.
Facilitate internal communication using email and Teams to help coordinate delivery logistics.
Support inventory management tasks such as receiving shipments, shelving stock, and monitoring medication levels.
Generate and cross-check waybills and shipping information for outgoing prescription orders.
Work cooperatively alongside pharmacy technicians and pharmacists within a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
Keep accurate pharmacy records and contribute to general organizational or administrative maintenance.
Capability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs and stand for long durations as required.
Qualifications
Pharmacy Assistant – Patient Service Coordination – Edmonton – Healthcare (Full-Time, Permanent)
A minimum of two years of pharmacy experience within a high-volume environment (specifically Kroll-based), with a mandatory requirement for strong skills in data entry, intake, and adjudication!
Solid operational knowledge of Kroll prescription management software
Keyboarding speed of at least 50 words per minute (skills testing may be required)
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Excel, and Teams) is preferred
Superior attention to detail, coupled with effective time management and organizational capabilities
Ability to thrive within a busy, regimented team setting
A desire to learn and advance within an organization that appreciates your pharmacy skills
Availability for an immediate start (however, if you are currently employed permanently, we fully respect the need to provide a 2-3 week notice period upon hiring)
