Responsibilities
– Coordinate domestic and international freight movements with carriers, clients, and third-party providers
– Manage end-to-end transportation for FTL, LTL, air, ocean, and cross-border shipments
– Ensure timely pickups, customs clearance, and on-time deliveries while addressing service issues as they arise
– Prepare and manage essential logistics documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, commercial invoices, and load confirmations
– Maintain accurate shipment data in Excel and logistics platforms; track performance metrics and costs
– Collaborate with global partners, customs brokers, and freight agents to support smooth international operations
– Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams to provide shipment updates and resolve escalations
– Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors; negotiate competitive rates when required
– Support compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and client-specific shipping protocols
Qualifications
– 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or freight brokerage (global scope preferred)
– Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs documentation, and regulatory compliance
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
– Experience with logistics software, ERP systems, or TMS platforms is an asset
– Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) is mandatory
– Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
– Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
– Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with confidence to coordinate across time zones and regions
