Responsibilities
– Assist in achieving the objectives of the pick-up and drop-off (P&D) operations across dispatch and dock staff
– Plan the shipment activities and staffing required to meet the objectives
– Ensure drivers, trucks and trailers are assigned to appropriate dock doors, greet and guide drivers
– Monitor and track all equipment as assigned or moved
– Ensure accurate completion of the dock and office duties
– Ensure dock workers are properly loading / packaging freight, ensure all outbound trailers are loaded to capacity
Qualifications
– 2 to 5 years experience in the transportation and/or warehousing LTL environment
– Validate forklift license to support for emergencies
– Strong geographical knowledge of Montreal (preferred) and Ontario (asset)
– 1 year experience using TMS software (Truckmate preferred)
– A true team player who posses leadership skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure
– Organized and ability to prioritize tasks
