Responsibilities
Responsabilities of the forklift driver:
– Loading and unloading: Handling freight in and out of trailers. Products come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
– Forklift operation: Perform 75% of tasks using a forklift. Must have a valid license and previous experience in LTL loading and unloading.
– Manual handling: Perform 25% of lifting tasks, with the ability to regularly lift weights of 50 to 75 pounds (approximately 23 to 34 kg).
– Safety: Maintain a safe work environment and cooperate with the team. Compliance with safety rules is paramount.
Qualifications
The forklift driver must :
– have a valid external forklift license
– have previous experience in LTL loading and unloading
– be able to lift 75 pounds
– hazardous goods certification (an asset)
