Responsibilities
– Performing complex material handling and product storage and retrieval tasks.
– Taking responsibility for overall warehouse organization and maintaining cleanliness.
– Operating multiple types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach, etc.) safely and efficiently.
– Training junior staff on best practices for equipment use and safety.
– Conducting routine equipment inspections to ensure proper functioning and reporting any failures.
– Coordinating workflows and shipments/receipts with team leads or supervisors.
– Ensuring strict compliance with all current safety standards (OHS) in the Manufacturing & Logistics field.
Qualifications
– Significant experience (senior role) as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or Manufacturing & Logistics environment.
– Valid Forklift Operator License (cariste card/certification) is essential.
– Proven ability to perform work with minimal autonomy.
– Demonstrated ability to train and mentor other operators.
– Advanced proficiency in forklift operation and handling techniques.
– Strong skills in autonomy and quick decision-making.
– Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage warehouse space optimally. • French communication skills (written and oral).
– Ability to work in a team and demonstrate positive leadership.
– Computer skills for using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or tracking software.
– Constant attention to detail and commitment to a safe work environment.
