Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
– Perform on-site diagnostics, service, and repairs on OEM mobile railcar mover equipment
– Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including Can Bus
– Plan, execute, and document all service work in line with OEM and safety standards
– Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner
– Maintain strong communication and relationships with customers
– Support special assignments and field service calls as needed
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
– Valid Heavy Duty Technician License (or equivalent provincial certification)
– Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract
– Minimum 5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy equipment (shop or field)
– Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic/troubleshooting skills
– Experience with Can Bus systems is a strong asset
– Ability to work independently, prioritize jobs, and communicate effectively with customers
– Must be clean-shaven or able to comply with facial hair policies for certain customer sites (PPE/safety requirement)
