Operations Manager

    • Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 per year

    Responsibilities
    – Oversee procurement of goods and services, including supplier selection, negotiation, auditing, and payables approval
    – Control inventory of raw materials and packaging while overseeing production scheduling
    – Supervise production, maintenance, and physical distribution departments to ensure operational efficiency

    – Review and manage documents related to purchased goods, customs, and duty brokerage, applying for rebates where applicable
    – Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and maintain thorough documentation for purchasing, inventory, and distribution functions
    – Directly overseeing 7 and indirectly 75 employees
    – Lead with a continuous improvement mindset to reduce costs and waste. Innovation is the key to success!

    Qualifications
    – Education in Manufacturing or relevant experience
    – Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership/supervisory role within a plastics manufacturing facility
    – Experience with extrusion is considered a strong asset
    – You have strong relationship building and leadership experience with the ability to trust your team
    – You can work autonomously and as part of a team
    – Strong relationships within the industry with mechanics, trades and other vendors
    – Good physical health to oversee operations as it is necessary for you to be on the floor with employees to understand the operations from day to day
    – You have strong Health and Safety knowledge and promote a safe environment
