Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Finance, your duties and key responsibilities will include;
– Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
– Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
– Manage general ledger functions and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
– Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
– Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
– Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
– Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
– Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes
– Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory compliance
– Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff
– Collaborate cross-functionally to promote financial clarity and efficiency
– Manage payroll and HR-related responsibilities, including benefits administration
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
– CPA designation (will also consider foreign designations)
– 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
– Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
– Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
– Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
– A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong communication abilities
– Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
