Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
– Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment in the field
– Use Caterpillar’s SIS and ET systems daily
– Complete accurate service documentation (work orders, warranty reports, crossover notes)
– Collaborate with Service Supervisors, Lead Hands, and the larger technical team
– Maintain strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders
– Follow all safety protocols while working independently in remote environments
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
– Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal)
– Dual ticket (HET/Truck & Transport or Millwright) considered an asset
– Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
– Experience with Caterpillar equipment and SIS/ET systems is an asset
– Strong mechanical aptitude and safety-first mindset
– Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
– Comfortable working in remote and changing environments
